Every organization bears the responsibility of ensuring a secure working environment for its employees and the general public. This objective would be unattainable without regulations that oversee the safety of its equipment, particularly those operating under pressure. In response to this need, the Department of Employment & Labour introduced the Pressure Equipment Regulations in 2009, complemented by SANS 347 for equipment categorization. With the recent release of updated guidance notes and SANS 347, we are confident that industry-wide training in this area would yield significant benefits.

Olivier Survey Group cordially invites you to a training workshop focusing on the Pressure Equipment Regulations, the most recent guidance notes, and SANS 347. This workshop is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the legislative requirements that govern industry operations within the framework of the PER.

The workshop will encompass an in-depth discussion on the legal obligations pertaining to the design, manufacture, repair, operation, modification, maintenance, inspection, and testing of pressure equipment and accessories. We look forward to your participation in this informative event.

 Upon completion of this workshop, the expected outcomes are as follows:

• Delegates will possess the ability to articulate and comprehend the Pressure Equipment Regulations (PER) with confidence.
• They will be equipped to facilitate modifications in the existing system to ensure compliance with PER.
• They will be able to strategize the necessary documentation requirements in line with PER.
• They will have the knowledge to verify that imported pressure equipment adheres to legal compliance.
• They will be proficient in identifying, evaluating, and categorising pressure equipment in accordance with SANS 347.
• Lastly, they will be capable of conducting assessments of pressure equipment to guarantee sustained compliance.

This workshop is designed for a wide range of professionals including users, designers, importers, manufacturers, and suppliers of pressure equipment. It is also suitable for project staff, technical staff, QA/QC staff, IPE’s, CP-PV’s, CP-SG’s, NDT Entities and Engineers.

Delegates will receive the most recent guidance notes on the PER and the latest SANS 347. Additionally, participants will be awarded a certificate of attendance and a Certificate for CPD Credits (IPE / CP – 8hrs, PrEng – 2 Credits in Category 1). The workshop is accredited by ECSA - SAIMechE 1466-08/24.
